Pioneiro na introdu\u00e7\u00e3o da ra\u00e7a Ile de France na regi\u00e3o da Cantuquirigua\u00e7u, seu primeiro contato com a ra\u00e7a se deu quando era aluno do curso t\u00e9cnico em agropecu\u00e1ria no Centro de Estudos Educacionais Arlindo Ribeiro em Guarapuava. Ao fazer uma visita na cabanha Cap\u00e3o Bonito, pioneira da ra\u00e7a no Paran\u00e1, de propriedade da fam\u00edlia Lustosa, se impressionou com o tamanho dos animais. Nas suas pr\u00f3prias palavras: \u201c\u00e9 um animal imponente, de grande porte, robusto forte e pesado\u201d com f\u00eameas adultas com cerca de 90 a 100Kg, e machos adultos de 110 Kg, podendo chegar at\u00e9 a 160 Kg de peso vivo.
